Children learn most effectively through play and we recognise each child’s right to enjoy the wonders of childhood before formal schooling begins. We also encourage your child to develop a sense of independence as they explore ideas and help shape their own learning initiatives alongside the rich program provided by our educators.

Our educators support your child’s creativity, skills development and social interactions through observing, documenting and participating in preschool experiences. They gauge when to encourage your child to make independent decisions, to be confident in their own learning choices and to negotiate with other children.

The Early Years Learning Framework

Our program is based on The Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) developed by The Council of Australian Governments to assist educators to provide young children with opportunities to maximise their potential. The framework identifies five Learning Outcomes that lie at the heart of our programming.

Learning Outcome 1: Children have a strong sense of identity

Learning Outcome 2: Children are connected with and contribute to their world

Learning Outcome 3: Children have a strong sense of wellbeing

Learning Outcome 4: Children are confident and involved learners

Learning Outcome 5: Children are effective communicators
